ADVENTURE PARK 2014

AdventureCamp

WHEN: August 8-9, 2014

WHERE: Buck Hollow - North Fork of Hobble Creek CanyonAdventureMAP

Badge-LeavittDEPART: 7:30 AM, Friday August 8, 2014

RETURN: 5 PM, Saturday, August 9, 2014

OBJECTIVE: The Buck Hollow Adventure Camp is geared specifically towards 11 year old Boy Scouts and we will have two days of workshops and experiences to pass off about 70% of the requirements for Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First Class rank advancements. We will be just one of about 20 11 year old troops in attendance for the event.

PARENTAL SUPPORT: This is a perfect opportunity for Fathers to come camping with us and enjoy the outdoors.  If you are interested, then please immediately let me know. The additional costs are $10 per adult plus food, but it is well worth your investment.  If a Father can't make the entire event, but wants to come up Friday night and spend all day Saturday with us, then that is encouraged as well.

RELEASE FORM: I need for each boy to visit the following council link and complete a health and release form.  A full doctor physical is not required, but the health release form is required. Download this form, fillit out, and then deliver it to Michael Leavitt at 1368 N. Main Street.

FOOD: Each boy should eat a great breakfast at home before we leave. We will provide lunch and dinner for Friday and breakfast and lunch for Saturday.  We will be taking a 5-mile hike and each boy will need to bring along a water bottle and snacks for this hike. Be prepared for them to arrive home hungry for dinner on Saturday.

SPENDING MONEY: The Third Ward has invested $43 per boy as well as the money for food for the four meals, but each boy will need their own spending money for the ever attractive Trading Post. Please consider sending along some money so that they can get a soda, ice cram, candy bar and/or a pocket knife while at the camp.
